Matthias Lücke is a senior researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, and an adjunct professor at Kiel University as well as a former senior economist at the International Monetary Fund.
He studied economics in Cologne, London (London School of Economics) and Giessen. In his research and teaching, he focuses on migration, development, international trade policy, and European integration.
Matthias coordinates the MEDAM project steering the MEDAM team in the development of the project’s research outline, and leads the project’s stakeholder dialogue activities. He has consulted widely for national governments and international organizations.
