Malte Becker joined the Kiel Institute in April 2021 as a doctoral student in the “International Development” research center. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics at the University of Bayreuth, and a Master’s degree in Development Economics at the University of Göttingen.

He is working on topics regarding development and migration.  At MEDAM, he is investigating attitudes towards migrants in Africa, supporting the team with field work in Uganda and Senegal.
