Judith Altrogge works on European-Gambian migration policy at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute in Freiburg, and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Basel. In her doctoral thesis she is working on European migration policy, migration between West Africa and Europe, and especially on the return to Gambia. Previously she studied sociology and ethnology at the University of Freiburg.
