Mehtap Akgüç worked as a research fellow at CEPS, where her main research interests were in the field of empirical labor and development economics looking at issues such as migration, economic development and inequality. At CEPS, she contributed to a number of projects on migration, employment and social innovation.
Before joining CEPS, Mehtap worked at the Institute for Study of Labor (IZA) in Germany and at the World Bank in Washington, DC. She has extensive experience in teaching, published in peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in academic and policy events.
