Before joining the Economic Policy unit of CEPS, Lars Ludolph was an economist at the Financial Stability and Risk Management Department of the Central Bank of Malta, where he carried out analyses of sovereign debt sustainability.

After joining CEPS, his research has focused on EU migration and asylum policies. He then researched the impact of migration flows on local economies as part of his doctoral research at the London School of Economics.
