Alessandra Venturini is professor of Political Economy at the University of Turin and former Deputy Director of the Migration Policy Center at the European University Institute (EUI), Florence. She conducted joint research projects with the OECD, the World Bank, the European Commission and CEPR, CASE and IZA. She is a fellow of IZA and IMISCOE.
She published extensively on labor economics and migration issues: the demand for caregivers in an aging society, the assimilation of migrants and their effect on the labor market and their role in the EU innovation process.
